Montenegro Airlines – flight tickets
Montenegro Airlines flights are no longer operated – Montenegro’s former national airline ceased operations on 26 December 2020. Today the national carrier is Air Montenegro, and you can book its flights, along with every other airline flying from Podgorica and Tivat, online on avio.me.
Montenegro Airlines: a short history
Montenegro Airlines was founded in 1994 and for more than two decades was Montenegro’s national airline, based at Podgorica airport with significant traffic through Tivat. It linked Montenegro with Belgrade, Ljubljana, Frankfurt, Zurich, Vienna, Paris, Rome, Moscow and other European cities, flying Fokker and Embraer aircraft.
After years of financial difficulties, the airline operated its last flights in December 2020 and ceased operations on 26 December 2020. Montenegro Airlines tickets have not been sold since, and old bookings are not valid.
Air Montenegro – today’s national carrier
After Montenegro Airlines closed, a new company was set up – Air Montenegro (a brand of To Montenegro), which started flying in 2021. Its base is Podgorica airport, with a strong focus on Tivat as well. The fleet consists of Embraer E195 aircraft with around 120 seats.

- Scheduled routes: Belgrade, Istanbul, Ljubljana, Rome, Zurich and Frankfurt.
- Seasonal routes: Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Prague, Brno, Bratislava, Izmir, Banja Luka and other destinations, according to the current timetable.

Travellers in the far south of the country can also consider Dubrovnik airport, about an hour’s drive from Herceg Novi.
